New NHS figures have revealed that patients and visitors to Milton Keynes University Hospital forked out over a million pounds in parking fees last year.
In other words, we not only have to worry about terrible waiting times but also whether we can afford to attend appointments or visit loved ones.
That’s disgraceful. We’re in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis. The Government should immediately provide the funding needed to scrap parking fees for patients and relatives.
