A big thank you to all the residents who joined our Focus Team (Sam, Nana and Wing) for today’s litter-picking session around the Brooklands Pavilion. Your time and effort really made a difference.
We were surprised by just how much rubbish had built up, especially around the playground area. In fact, there was so much to tackle that we only managed to get about halfway around the site before filling our bags. This means we’ll likely plan another session here next month to finish the job properly.
In the meantime, we’ll also be contacting The Parks Trust to request more bins for this busy location. With so many families and young people using the space, it’s clear that extra facilities would go a long way in keeping it clean and welcoming for everyone.
