The Council and the Police have now published their Community Safety Strategy 2025–2029, setting out six key priorities to focus on over the next four years. These priorities reflect the issues that matter most to local people and aim to make our communities safer and more supportive for everyone.
The six priorities are:
- Domestic Violence and Abuse
- Violence Against Women and Girls
- Anti-Social Behaviour
- Online Harm and Radicalisation
- Retail Theft and Acquisitive Crime
- Serious Violence
This strategy will guide how resources are used and how partners work together to prevent crime, support victims, and tackle the root causes of offending.
