Wing, Nana, and I attended last week’s public display of the Keepers Place proposals in Moulsoe. We’re not opposed to the new housing development itself, but we strongly object to the plan allowing traffic from up to 700 homes at the western end of the site to cross the existing bridge on Broughton Grounds Lane into Brooklands.
A new road is eventually planned to link Keepers Place with MK East, and we believe that connection should be built first to accommodate traffic from the development.
We’ve made our position clear to the developer, but we also intend to start a campaign opposing the use of Broughton Grounds Lane as a through route. Allowing it would bring far more traffic into Brooklands than was ever intended or planned for.
