I’ve now heard more from the Council about the arrangements for the MK East meeting on 9 November, as follows:
The papers for the meeting will be published online at
The number of speakers is at the discretion of the chair, but he is unlikely to be able to permit a large number.
Speakers can register from as soon as the agenda is published up until by emailing
Speeches will be limited to 3 minutes.
Berkeley St James will also be invited to speak. The length of time that they are permitted to do so will equate to the total amount of time taken by those who objected to the application.
Written comments previously made on the application will be summarised in the papers for the meeting. If a potential speaker realises that his or her comments have been satisfactorily covered in this way they are asked to consider whether they need to speak. Potential speakers whose contributions are likely to be very similar are asked to consider getting together and to ask a single person to summarise their comments.
On this last point I know that Richard Shaw has formed a facebook group on the flooding issues. And the Willen Residents group has spoken on estate issues in the past.
The meeting will be broadcast on the Council’s YouTube channel, but I’m still unsure how many people will actually be able to attend the meeting. The reason why the Council has to be so careful on this is that it is also the Public Health Authority for the area.
I’ll update as soon as I hear any more.
