The present day Liberal Democrat party in Milton Keynes was formed 50 years ago today.
Then we were just the Liberals, to be amalgamated 15 years later with the SDP.
And – until 1983 when a Milton Keynes constituency was created – we covered the whole of North Bucks across nearly to Bicester in the west and down to Linslade outside Leighton Buzzard in the south.
